Mild 2.7-magnitude earthquake shakes Hajjah

DHAMAR, April 17 (YPA) – The Seismological and Volcanological Observatory Center in Dhamar Governorate announced on Friday that a tremor was recorded in Hajjah Governorate in northern Yemen.

According to the center’s daily bulletin, the tremor measured 2.7 on the Richter scale and was classified as light.

The earthquake occurred at 3:36 AM northeast of Hajjah, an area located approximately 160 km from the capital, Sanaa.
