2,294 Lebanese citizens killed, 7,544 wounded since beginning of Israeli aggression on Lebanon

BEIRUT, April. 17 (YPA) – The Lebanese Ministry of Health revealed, on Friday, that 9,838 citizens have been killed or wounded since the start of the Israeli war on Lebanon, in an initial toll.

In a statement, the Health Emergency Operations Center of the Ministry of Public Health said, “The cumulative, but not final, toll of the Israeli aggression has reached 2,294 martyrs and 7,544 wounded, from March 2nd until midnight last night, Thursday, April 16th.”

The statement added that this toll includes 100 martyrs from the paramedics and health sector workers and 233 wounded, noting that the ministry will announce the final toll later after the completion of clearing the rubble, recovering bodies, and conducting DNA tests for identification.

It is noteworthy that the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and the Zionist entity went into effect at dawn on Friday, and is to last for 10 days, according to what was announced by US President Donald Trump.
