Yemen’s military expert accuses Saudi Arabia of protecting “terrorist” leaders in Aden

ADEN, April 17 (YPA) – A southern military expert on Friday accused Saudi Arabia of protecting figures allegedly linked to terrorism and unrest in Aden, and later facilitating their return to the city.

In a post on the X platform, Yemen’s military analyst Khalid al-Nasi affirmed that Saudi authorities had previously removed such figures when local forces pursued them, only to reintroduce them to manage a renewed phase of instability.

He cited individuals including Mehran Al-Kabati and Imam Al-Nubi as examples, alleging their involvement in the current situation.

According to the same account, some figures affiliated with the Saudi-backed Islah Party have recently returned to Aden after years of absence following clashes in 2019, while others have reportedly re-entered the city under unclear circumstances, raising questions about their roles.
