GAZA, April 16 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army continues its violations of the ceasefire on its 189th day across various areas of the Gaza Strip.
Israeli artillery struck eastern areas of Gaza City on Thursday, Palestinian sources said.
The shelling also targeted areas east of the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip.
The Israeli army carried out large-scale demolition operations east of the al-Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City.
In southern Gaza, eastern Khan Younis came under heavy artillery fire. The bombardment was accompanied by intense gunfire from Israeli military vehicles.
Since the ceasefire (October 11), the total number of fatalities has reached 765, in addition to 2,140 injuries, and 760 bodies recovered, according to Gaza health ministry.
Since the beginning of the Israeli offensive on October 7, 2023, the total number of fatalities has reached 72,344, with 172,242 injured.
