OCCUPIED PALESTINE, April 14 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation military announced early Tuesday that one soldier was killed and three others were injured during clashes with the Islamic Resistance Movement Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.
In a brief statement, the military said the soldier, identified as Sergeant Major (Res.) Ayal Uriel Bianco from Katzrin, a firefighting vehicle driver in the 188th Brigade, fell during combat in southern Lebanon.
Three other soldiers were also injured in the incident, with moderate and minor wounds. The soldiers were evacuated to hospital for medical treatment, and their families have been notified.
The statement did not provide further details regarding the circumstances of his death.
On Monday, the occupation military also reported that eight soldiers were injured—some moderately and others lightly—after being targeted by Hezbollah drone strike in southern Lebanon.
Earlier, the Israeli military said that 565 soldiers have been injured since the start its ongoing military operations in Lebanon on March 2, 2026, including 34 in serious condition and 78 with moderate injuries. It also confirmed 12 fatalities among its forces.
The escalation comes amid continued cross-border hostilities between the occupation military and Hezbollah along the border areas.
