Ghalibaf to Americans after Hormuz closure threats: “Enjoy the current pump figures”

TEHRAN, April 13 (YPA) – Iranian Parliament Speaker and chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has reacted to Donald Trump’s threats, sharing an image showing recent gasoline prices at stations near the White House.

In a post on “X”, Ghalibaf addressed Americans directly, saying: “Enjoy the current pump figures. With the so-called ‘blockade’, Soon you’ll be nostalgic for $4–$5 gas.”

He indicated that tighter pressure on the Strait of Hormuz could drive global energy prices higher.

His post also included the photo of a map highlighting the gasoline prices at gas stations near the White House, further emphasizing his critique of Trump’s threats.

Separately, Iran’s Defense Ministry reiterated that the Strait of Hormuz would remain under Iranian control indefinitely, stating that “the enemy has not and will not be able to overthrow our regime, dismantle our country, or take control of the Strait of Hormuz.”
