DAMASCUS, April 12 (YPA) –Israeli occupation forces carried out an incursion on Saturday into the Yarmouk Basin areas in the western countryside of Daraa and arrested citizens, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported
According to SOHR, the occupation forces Israeli detained two local residents following a military operation in the vicinity of the Hamatah and Jamleh villages.
SOHR said that a force consisting of 15 military vehicles advanced into the outskirts of Jamleh before moving toward the Hamatah,.
Before their withdrawal, Israeli forces inspected several houses in Hamatah village, arresting two civilians, according to SOHR sources.
They also established a checkpoint on the junction between the two villages to secure the raiding forces.
Israeli occupation forces shelled the vicinity of Jamleh village in the Yarmouk Basin area in western Daraa countryside on Friday with several artillery rounds.
Areas in western Daraa countryside, particularly the Yarmouk Basin near the disengagement line, have witnessed recurring attacks by Israeli occupation forces targeting sites and surrounding areas, in violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
