Man killed by unknown gunmen in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, April 09 (YPA) – A citizen was killed on Thursday by unidentified gunmen on the Abr Road in Hadramout province, an area controlled by pro-Saudi forces in eastern Yemen.

Human rights sources familiar with the matter confirmed that unknown assailants, believed to be members of the Saudi-funded “emergency” forces, intercepted a Hadramout resident named Bajrad, killed him, and left his body by the roadside.

The sources added that the militants looted Bajrad’s car, confiscated his personal belongings, and then fled to an unknown location.

They also noted that the ABR Road and other districts in Hadramout had been experiencing severe security chaos due to the absence of state authorities since early 2016, despite the military presence of pro-Saudi forces.

Saudi authorities have yet to comment on the incident, raising concerns among travelers about the growing threat of armed gangs along the Abr route.
