Sayyed al-Houthi: Ceasefire announcement is “great victory” for Iran, resistance axis
SANAA, April 09 (YPA) – The Ansarallah leader, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, commented on the announcement of a ceasefire between Iran and the “enemies of the Islamic nation,” describing it as a major victory for Iran, the countries of the Axis of Resistance, the Islamic nation, and the free people of the world.
In a televised speech delivered Thursday evening addressing the latest regional developments, al-Houthi congratulated the leadership, people, armed forces, and institutions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as the entire Islamic nation, on this “great victory.”
“We first turn to Allah with praise and gratitude for the blessing of this great victory in the face of America and ‘Israel,’ and for His great favor upon His free Mujahideen servants,” al-Houthi stated. He emphasized that this triumph stands in contrast to the “massive failure of Zionism and its branches”—specifically naming America, “Israel”, and their supporters—who carried out the aggression.
Al-Houthi noted that Zionism and its allies failed significantly in achieving the objectives of their military plans, despite the scale of the aggression and the crimes committed. He pointed out that while the enemies targeted all aspects of life in Iran and sought to destroy its military capabilities, they “failed miserably.”
The Ansarallah leader further highlighted the scope of the escalation, saying “The enemies worked to target nuclear facilities, including the Bushehr plant, despite the significant risks such strikes pose, even to the Gulf states.”
He praised the “steadfastness” of Iran’s leadership, people, and armed forces. He asserted that the Islamic system remained cohesive across all institutions despite the “martyrdom of leaders,” noting that Iran possesses an abundance of capable cadres to “carry the banner” and assume responsibility.
According to al-Houthi, all institutions of the Islamic system continued to perform their duties toward the Iranian people perfectly. He remarked that the Iranian Armed Forces remained resilient, and their performance in confronting the “American-Israeli aggression” was “effective and very powerful,” inflicting heavy losses on the enemy.
Al-Houthi concluded by stressing that the Iranian Armed Forces ultimately drove the enemy to failure and defeat “by Allah’s support.” He noted that one of the most significant outcomes of this round of confrontation is the establishment of the “Unity of the Fields” (Unity of the Fronts) equation, linking the resistance fronts in Iran, Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen.
