Lapid: Netanyahu failed and caused unprecedented political disaster in Israel’s history

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, April. 08 (YPA) – Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing him of causing an unprecedented political disaster in Israel’s history.

Lapid said that “Israel was not even present when decisions were made regarding the core of its national security,” and added that Netanyahu had failed politically and strategically, and had not achieved any of the goals he had set by himself.

Previously, US President Donald Trump announced the suspension of military operations against Iran for two weeks, in response to talks with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir.

For its part, Iran is heading towards a negotiating track in Islamabad, lasting a maximum of two weeks, based on clear principles that include respecting Iran’s sovereignty and its demands.

Netanyahu’s office announced Israel’s support for Trump’s decision, but noted that it does not include Lebanon.
