IRGC launches 98th wave of True Promise 4, targeting US-Israeli military sites

TEHRAN, April 06 (YPA) – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Monday that it had carried out the 98th wave of “True Promise 4,” targeting U.S. and Israeli leadership and military sites in response to what it described as ongoing aggression against Iran.

In a statement, the IRGC said its naval and air forces had conducted complex and impactful operations since the morning as part of this phase of the campaign. The strikes reportedly focused on command centers, operational hubs, logistical facilities, and military-industrial infrastructure linked to the United States and Israeli enemy.

According to the statement, the first phase involved a cruise missile strike by naval forces on a container ship identified as SDN7, allegedly linked to Israeli enemy, causing a major fire. Additional attacks were reported in northern and southern “Tel Aviv”, as well as strategic sites in Haifa, chemical facilities and companies in Beersheba, and military locations in Petah Tikva.

The IRGC added that these strikes were carried out using ballistic missiles and said air defense systems failed to intercept them.

The statement also claimed that an American LHA-7 amphibious assault ship carrying more than 5,000 personnel was targeted, forcing it to withdraw deeper into the southern Indian Ocean.

It further alleged that a joint drone production facility involving the UAE and Israel, along with aircraft stationed at Ali Al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait, were struck using missiles and drones.

The IRGC emphasized that its operations are ongoing and said more details would be released later. It also warned that maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz is being closely monitored and that any hostile movement would be met with a decisive response.

The statement concluded by referencing events on February 28, when, according to the IRGC, the United States and Israel launched attacks on Iran that resulted in civilian casualties and damage to public infrastructure. In response, Iran initiated Operation “True Promise 4,” targeting Israeli and U.S. assets in the region.
