Iran FM: Bombing of Bushehr plant, attacks on petrochemical sector expose real objectives
TEHRAN, April 04 (YPA) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Saturday that some Western countries had previously expressed “widespread anger” over the hostilities near Ukraine’s Zaporozhye nuclear plant, questioning their stance on the latest developments.
In a post on X, Araghchi stated that Israeli enemy and the United States have bombed the Bushehr nuclear plant four times,” warning that any potential radiation leak “could threaten life in the capitals of GCC countries, not just Tehran.”
He also noted that attacks on Iran’s petrochemical sector “exposed the true objectives” behind these operations.
The remarks came amid continued US and Israeli aggression against Iran, which began on February 28 and has targeted hundreds of civilians and critical infrastructure, including schools, hospitals, and mosques.
In response, Iran launched Operation “True Promise 4” against Israeli targets and US bases in the region.
