GAZA, March 31 (YPA) – The spokesperson for the Hamas movement, Hazem Qassem, said Yemen has once again demonstrated its alignment with Arab, national, and religious causes through its support for Gaza and Iran.
In remarks to Al-Masirah TV, Qassem stated that Yemen’s involvement in the war reflects a genuine commitment and an ability to translate rhetoric into action on the ground.
He added that Palestinians in the Gaza Strip highly value the support and sacrifices made by Yemen and allied groups in Lebanon and Iran.
Qassem said that many in Gaza have expressed satisfaction upon seeing missiles launched toward Israeli territory, describing it as a response to ongoing military operations targeting the region.
Addressing negotiations, Qassem accused Israeli occupation of fully reneging on previously agreed terms, including commitments to halt hostilities and withdraw forces.
He alleged that Israeli operations, arrests, and territorial control continue, along with tightened restrictions on crossings and humanitarian access.
He further claimed that the volume of aid trucks entering Gaza is less than a quarter of what had been agreed, and described the opening of the Rafah Crossing as largely symbolic.
He also accused Israeli occupation of blocking the entry of administrative committees and international forces, while expanding the scope of its military targeting within the enclave.
Qassem concluded by reaffirming Hamas’s support for the “Axis of Resistance axis,” including the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, arguing that sustained pressure on Israeli occupation is the only way to defend holy sites and broader regional security.
