Ministry of Youths and sport discusses level of media performance

SANAA, Aug. 4 (YPA)- Ministry of Youths and sport held a meeting on Saturday chaired by Minister of Youths and Sports Hassan Mohammed Zaid discussing the level of performance, challenges and ways to address them in the media sector.

The meeting touched upon the needs of the sector projects and coordination mechanisms within the ministry’s sectors and youth and sports bodies in addition to reactivating the sports media Union.

In the meeting, the minister stressed the importance of the role of media in highlighting sports and youth activities, enhancing the role of young people and raising awareness of various national issues.

He emphasized on the importance of the role of the media sector in keeping up with sports activities and youth events in the face of continued aggression, confirming the ministry’s leadership’s support of visions and plans to develop the media work in the ministry and its affiliated institutions.

For his part, deputy for the media Sector in the ministry Osama Sari reviewed the sector plan for the coming period, including an integrated program map for the Saba Youth and sports channel, the establishment of a nucleus for the production of youth programs, as well as the publishing a semi-monthly sports and sports newspaper.
