Lebanon death toll climbs to 1,142 as Israeli occupation strikes intensify

BEIRUT, March 27 (YPA) – The death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon rose on Friday to 1,142 people killed and 3,315 injured since the start of the latest escalation on March 2.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health’s daily report, carried by the national news agency, 26 people were killed and 86 wounded in the past 24 hours alone.

The ministry stated that the total number of casualties includes 122 children and 83 women among those killed, and 403 children and 456 women among the injured. It also reported that 42 healthcare workers have been killed and 119 wounded.

Israeli occupation forces have intensified their military operations across Lebanon, targeting towns, villages, and cities with increased airstrikes, alongside ongoing attacks involving the United States and Israeli enemy against Iran.
