Israeli occupation forces advance into southern Al-Quneitra

DAMASCUS, March 26 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces carried out a new incursion on Wednesday into the countryside of Al-Quneitra province in southern Syria, as part of ongoing field movements in the border area, The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported.

According to the SOHR, an Israeli patrol of four military vehicles advanced into Sayda Al-Golan village in the southern countryside of Al-Quneitra this dawn.

This coincides with the ongoing violations by the occupation forces in south Syria region.

On Tuesday, SOHR sources reported that a patrol of Israeli forces infiltrated the area between Mashirfa and Om Exam Villages in Al-Quneitra countryside.

According to SOHR sources, members of the patrol stopped a wedding convoy in the area and searched the people, before shooting randomly in the air, causing fear and panic among residents.

Areas in the Al-Quneitra countryside have periodically witnessed Israeli military movements, often described as “reconnaissance” or “security” operations. These activities come amid a fragile security situation, raising concerns that such limited incursions could become a recurring pattern that establishes new realities on the ground in southern Syria.
