Iranian forces strike vital facilities, Israeli air bases with drones

TEHRAN, March 26 (YPA) – The Iranian military announced on Wednesday that it has carried out a “large-scale and concentrated” offensive operation targeting the depth of “Israel.”

The military stated that the operation utilized swarms of advanced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to strike strategic and sensitive military and industrial facilities.

According to an official statement, the operation directly targeted the Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) complex. The military identified this site as a primary hub for the development of “Heron” and “Harop” drones, as well as the production center for the “Ofek” reconnaissance satellite series used by Israeli intelligence agencies.

The statement further explained that the drones successfully reached targets within Rafael Advanced Defense Systems. This facility is responsible for producing key defense systems, including the “Iron Dome” and “David’s Sling,” as well as electronic warfare and aerial jamming technologies.

The Iranian military reported that the strikes caused damage to maintenance and repair facilities for F-15 and F-16 fighter jets, asserting a significant impact on the enemy aerial capabilities. The reported targets included:

  • Ben Gurion Airbase.
  • Rafael Advanced Defense Systems development centers.
  • Central maintenance workshops for fighter aircraft.

The military framed the operation as a “decisive response” to Israeli actions, asserting that the mission demonstrates the ability to bypass advanced defense systems.

The statement concluded by emphasizing that the operation aimed to strike the “artery of the military and security industries” upon which Israeli entity relies for its regional operations.
