President al-Mashat: ‘Accepting American-Israeli permissiveness poses existential threat to national dignity’
SANAA, March 19 (YPA – President of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat, said on Thursday Yemen would continue to reflect the aspirations and positions of its people.
In an Eid al-Fitr address, al-Mashat reaffirmed Yemen’s religious and moral commitment to supporting Palestinians and defending Islamic holy sites, foremost among them Al-Aqsa Mosque.
He praised the convening of the fourth International Conference for “Palestine, which is the Central Issue of the Nation,” in Sanaa, commending efforts to reinforce the Palestinian cause as the Nation’s foremost priority.
Al-Mashat also voiced support for Iran’s right to self-defense against what he described as “American-Zionist aggression,” urging Arab and Islamic states to condemn such actions and deny the use of their.
He warned against attempts to impose a “permissive equation” enabling attacks on regional states without justification, arguing that accepting such a framework undermines sovereignty and dignity, and stressing that confronting it is a shared responsibility for governments and peoples alike.
