SANAA, March 18 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning on Wednesday forecast changing weather conditions across Yemen over the next 24 hours, with clear to partly cloudy skies and a chance of rain in several regions.
According to the forecast, conditions will be clear overnight and in the early morning, becoming partly cloudy during the day, with cumulonimbus clouds forming over parts of the western, southwestern, and central highlands. Light to moderate rainfall is possible, particularly in the afternoon and evening.
Coastal areas are expected to see generally clear to partly cloudy weather, with light to moderate winds. Stronger winds are likely along the western coast and around the Bab al-Mandab, reaching up to 30 knots and causing rough seas.
Desert areas will remain mostly clear, with moderate winds that may at times raise dust and reduce visibility.
The center urged residents in regions likely to experience rainfall to stay clear of valleys and wadis, where flash floods may occur. Motorists, particularly on mountain roads, were advised to exercise caution due to potential low visibility from fog or mist.
