Iranian drone strikes hit two Israeli military bases, Shin Bet Headquarters

TEHRAN, March 12 (YPA) -The Iranian army announced a drone attack targeting the Palmahim airbase and the Shin Bet (Shabak) headquarters in occupied Palestine.

In its statement, the Iranian  Army stated that it launched an assault on the Israeli military establishments using destructive drones, focusing on the observation tower, runway, and hangars of the Palmahim and Ovbeda airbases, as well as the Shin Bet headquarters.

The Palmahim airbase, located near Tel Aviv, serves as a launch site for satellites and missile tests for Israel, and is home to missile defense systems such as David’s Sling and Hermes 900 drones.

Ovebda airbase is considered a strategic facility and an Israeli Air Force training base, historically housing F-22 fighter jets from the United States.

Shin Bet, the internal security agency of Israel, functions as the operational core, and is responsible for commanding security operations, coordinating the protection of VIPs and vital facilities.

Spokesperson for the Iranian Armed Forces, Brigadier General Mohammad Akrami Nia, told Iranian state television in a phone call: “We carried out important operations today against the Israeli entity, and our operations are becoming more precise day by day.”

He added that Iranian forces had previously destroyed part of the enemy’s radar infrastructure at sensitive locations, which he said had made it easier to continue military operations.

Akrami Nia also said the Iranian military is now capable of targeting key and sensitive points inside ‘Israel’ with greater accuracy.
