Lebanese resistance launches “Al-Asf al-Ma’kul” operations; Israeli occupation acknowledges 100 rockets within minutes
BEIRUT, March 12 (YPA) – The Islamic resistance in Lebanon announced on Wednesday the commencement of operations titled “Al-Asf al-Ma’kul,” launching extensive rocket barrages toward northern settlements in response to the Israeli aggression targeting Lebanese cities and the southern suburbs of Beirut.
The Resistance confirmed in its statement that it targeted settlements within a 5-kilometer range of the border. Meanwhile, Israeli media reported the detection of approximately 100 rockets launched within minutes, triggering sirens from Ras al-Naqoura to Haifa and the Upper Galilee.
On the ground, the announced operations included:
- Targeting assemblies of occupation forces south of Al-Khiam, as well as the Manara and Markaba sites.
- Shelling the newly established Balat site and a vehicle assembly at the Al-Marj site with rocket and artillery fire.
- Interpreting and targeting an Israeli force attempting to advance toward the Al-Khanouq area in the border town of Aitaroun.
In a related context, Israeli media quoted senior officials stating there are indications that the timing of the fire was coordinated between Iran and Hezbollah.
