TEHRAN, March 08 (YPA) – The Iranian military announced on Sunday that a U.S. Navy attack on the Iranian ship “Dana” on March 4 resulted in the deaths of 104 sailors and left 32 others injured.

In a statement cited by the Iranian Student News Agency (ISNA), the military said the vessel had been returning from the Milan Peace Exercises 2026 while on a training mission when it was attacked by U.S. naval forces.

According to the statement, the 32 injured crew members are currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Sri Lanka.

The military also said that on February 28, the United States and Israeli enemy launched a new round of attacks against Iran, which it claimed killed hundreds of civilians and targeted schools, hospitals, mosques, and other civilian facilities.

In response, Iran launched Operation True Promise 4, targeting Israeli positions and U.S. military bases in the region.
