Hezbollah pounds Israeli positions, troops’ gatherings in northern Palestine
BEIRUT, March 08 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon (Hezbollah) announced that it has executed a series of operations targeting Israeli army positions and troop gatherings in northern Occupied Palestine.
Hezbollah issued a series of statements outlining the military operations.
“In response to the criminal “Israeli” aggression that affected dozens of Lebanese cities and towns, and the southern suburb of Beirut, the Islamic Resistance fighters targeted the “Branit” barracks (headquarters of the 91st Division) with a rocket barrage at 01:45 AM today, Sunday,” Hezbollah said in the first statement.
In a second statement, Hezbollah said: “After monitoring the movements of the forces and vehicles of the “Israeli” enemy army that attempted to advance from the Lebanese-Palestinian border towards the town of Aitaroun from the forest side, and at 22:30 on Saturday evening, 07/03/2026, the Islamic Resistance fighters clashed with the advancing force with machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades, achieving direct hits.”
“Within the framework of the warning issued by the Islamic Resistance to the city of “Nahariya” in northern occupied Palestine, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance targeted it at 01:30 AM today, with a barrage of rockets,” the third statement read.
The Islamic Resistance fighters have been confronting, since 3:00 AM, a new attempt by “Israeli” enemy soldiers to advance towards the border town of Aitaroun using machine guns and rocket shells, and the clashes are still ongoing as of the moment this statement was issued, according to the fourth statement.
“Within the framework of confronting a new attempt by “Israeli” enemy soldiers to advance towards the border town of Aitaroun, at 03:00 AM, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance targeted a gathering of “Israeli” enemy army soldiers at the Al-Malikiyah site opposite the border town of Aitaroun with a guided missile, achieving confirmed hits,” Hezbollah said in the fifth statement.
In the sixth statement, Hezbollah confirmed that its fighters targeted a gathering of “Israeli” enemy army vehicles on the Al-Qabaa heights on the southeastern outskirts of the town of Markaba with a rocket barrage at 03:25 AM today, Sunday.
They also targeted a gathering of “Israeli” enemy army soldiers at the Al-Malikiyah site opposite the border town of Aitaroun with a rocket barrage at 03:50 AM today, according to the seventh statement.
Hezbollah further released an eighth statement, stating: “Within the framework of the warning issued by the Islamic Resistance to the city of “Kiryat Shmona” in northern occupied Palestine, the Islamic Resistance fighters targeted it at 06:30 AM today, with a swarm of attack drones.”
“Within the framework of the warning issued by the Islamic Resistance to the city of “Nahariya” in northern occupied Palestine, the Islamic Resistance fighters targeted it at 08:40 AM today, with a squadron of attack drones,” Hezbollah’s ninth statement read.
These operations come in the context of a response to Israeli aggression that targeted dozens of Lebanese cities and towns, including the southern suburbs of Beirut.
Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that sirens sounded in several areas of northern Occupied Palestine amid fears of drones crossing from Lebanon. Sirens were reported in Nahariya, northern Acre, and Avivim in the western Galilee.
Media sources also reported that a squadron of drones crossed from Lebanese airspace into Occupied Palestine.
