Trump decides to cut trade ties with Spain for refusing to cooperate in bombing Iran

WASHINGTON, March. 04 (YPA) – The US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that the United States would cut all trade ties with Spain after it refused to allow the US military to use its bases for missions related to the strikes on Iran.

“Spain’s position is very bad,” Trump told reporters during a meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, noting that he had asked Treasury Secretary Scott Bisent to halt all agreements with Spain.

“We will be cutting off all trade with Spain. We don’t want any relationship with them,” he added.

Previously, Trump said it was “very sad to see” that the relationship with Britain was not what it once was, after Prime Minister Keir Starmer initially declined to support the strikes against Iran.

“The United States did not need Britain to wage war in the Middle East,” he added.
