Iran targets three US, British oil tankers

TEHRAN, March 02 (YPA) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran said on Monday that it targeted three US and British oil tankers in the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.

In a statement, the IRGC said it launched a new wave of “Operation True Promise 4.”

The IRGC added that three tankers were hit in the Gulf waters and the Strait of Hormuz, according to Russia’s Sputnik news agency.

The statement also said four drones attacked the US naval base in Bahrain.

It also confirmed that three US Navy facilities in Kuwait were destroyed.

Earlier, the IRGC announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz following Israeli and US strikes on Iran.
