Israeli attacks kill 31 civilians in southern Lebanon

BEIRUT, March 02 (YPA) – At least thirty-one civilians were killed and others wounded in Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut early Monday morning.

The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health’s Public Health Emergency Operations Center reported that “Israeli enemy raids on the southern suburbs and the south resulted in, in a preliminary and not final count, the martyrdom of 31 citizens and the wounding of 149 others.”

Israeli warplanes bombed the southern suburbs of Beirut, killing 20 citizens and wounding 91 others.  Additional airstrikes targeted several villages and areas in southern Lebanon, killing 11 people and injuring 58 others.
