560 American soldiers killed or injured in Iranian attacks on US bases in region

TEHRAN, March 01 (YPA) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Sunday that a series of strikes targeting U.S. and Israeli military positions across the region resulted in approximately 560 U.S. personnel killed or wounded.

According to “Statement No. 8” regarding the “True Promise 4” operation, the latest waves of attacks utilized a combination of ballistic missiles and suicide drones.

The Iranian statement detailed extensive strikes on several strategic locations, claiming that the Ali Al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait was rendered “out of service.” Significant damage was also reported at naval facilities within the Mohammad Al-Ahmad Base.

In Bahrain, the IRGC alleged that U.S. naval assets at Mina Salman and military residential quarters were hit. Furthermore, the report highlighted a “concentrated attack” on the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln with four ballistic missiles, alongside strikes on U.S. and British oil tankers in the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.

In stark contrast, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) had previously confirmed the deaths of only three U.S. service members and several injured resulting from regional strikes. U.S. officials have not commented on the significantly higher casualty figures or the specific infrastructural damage claimed by Tehran.

As the IRGC vows to escalate its missile and drone operations in the coming phase, the region remains on high alert. The discrepancy between the two accounts underscores a deepening information gap regarding the true scale and impact of the ongoing military escalation.
