ZAGERB, Feb. 24 (YPA) – The President of Croatia, Zoran Milanovic, has sharply condemned his Minister of Defense, Ivan Anusic’s official visit to the occupied territories, where he met with Israeli officials.
Milanovic stressed that the Croatian government should immediately suspend all current and planned defense coordination and military cooperation with Israel, describing such steps as inconsistent with the nation’s strategic priorities.
Exercising his constitutional role as commander-in-chief of the Croatian Armed Forces, he declared that no military cooperation programs between Croatia and Israel will be allowed to move forward.
In statements on his official social media accounts, Milanovic rejected the discussions Anusic held with Israeli counterpart Israel Katz on expanding military ties.
Meanwhile, Croatian Defense Minister Ivan Anusic stated on X (formerly Twitter) that his visit was intended to strengthen defense relations and explore avenues for bilateral cooperation.
