BEIRUT, Feb. 22 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon on Saturday mourned eight of its fighters who were killed “in redemption of Lebanon and its people,” following Israeli occupation’s strikes that targeted the Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon on Friday.
In a statement, the group identified the killed as the commander Hussein Mohammed Yagi, along with Mohammed Ibrahim al-Moussawi, Ali Zaid al-Moussawi, Hussein Khairallah Aladdin, Ahmed Hussein Haj Hassan, Qasim Ali Mahdi, Ahmed Mohammed Zaiter, and Hassanein Yasser Al-Sablani.
Earlier, the city of Baalbek witnessed funeral ceremonies for several victims killed in Israeli air raids on towns across the Bekaa region.
According to the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health, Israeli strikes targeted the towns of Riyaq, Badnayel, Qasrnaba, and Sahl Tamneen, killing 10 people and injuring 24 others, including three children.
