Yemen central bank deputy governor resigned in protest against Saudi intervention
ADEN, Feb. 12 (YPA) – Deputy governor of Aden-based Yemen Central Bank Abbas Ahmed Abdullah resigned from his post on Monday, a day after Saudi-backed resigned, exiled President dismissed the bank governor at the request of the Saudi government, officials said.

“The current conditions are no longer appropriate to carry out my duties at the required level,” Abbas said in his telegram channel.
Abbas’ resignation came few hours after exiled President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi overthrew bank governor Mnasar al-Qaiti, replacing him with Saudi-allied Mohamed Zammam to run the Saudi deposit of nearly 3 billion USD.
