8,000 bodies in Gaza are still under rubble

GAZA, Feb. 13 (YPA) – Civil Defense spokesman in Gaza Strip, Mahmoud Basal, confirmed on Friday that about 8,000 bodies of martyrs in the Strip are still under the rubble, even after the rescue operations carried out by the agency during the past weeks.

In a press statement, Bassal said, “More than 3,000 people are still missing, and it is unknown whether they are alive, martyrs, or prisoners.”

He added, “The bodies of hundreds of martyrs disappeared and decomposed during the search and recovery operations.”
