DHAMAR, Aug. 4 (YPA) – Public Health and Population Bureau in Dhamar central province launched on Friday a national field awareness campaign on the risks of polio, which lasts for 10 days in a number of districts.
In a statement to Yemen Press Agency (YPA), Director of Health Bureau, Dr. Khalid Ali al-Haji said that the campaign aimed at raising awareness of the dangers of the deadly childhood diseases of “polio” under the age of five.
Over 50 health education and information volunteers participate in the campaign, he added.
He called on all citizens to vaccinate their children and cooperate with immunization and awareness-raising teams for the safety and health of their children.
