EUROPE, Feb. 07 (YPA) – Several European countries witnessed massive public demonstrations on Saturday in solidarity with the Gaza Strip.
Thousands gathered in German, French, and Italian cities to condemn the Israeli occupation’s violations of the ceasefire agreement.
In Germany, Berlin and other cities saw angry protests demanding an end to arms exports to “Israel.” Participants criticized military partnerships between German and Israeli companies, viewing them as indirect participation in the aggression.
In France, ,protesters in Paris called for the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador and the release of Palestinian prisoners. They also denounced attempts by the French Parliament to pass laws “criminalizing sympathy” with the Palestinian cause.
In Italy’s Milan city, protesters utilized the opening of the Winter Olympics to amplify Gaza’s voice, raising slogans that reject normalization and demand accountability for the occupation.
Participants across various capitals united around a set of urgent demands, most notably:
- Imposing comprehensive sanctions on “Israel” and initiating an official boycott.
- Immediately opening crossings to break the policy of starvation and allow humanitarian aid.
- International pressure to ensure respect for the ceasefire agreement and an end to ongoing violations.
These movements underscore the escalating public outrage in Europe and the widening scope of solidarity with Palestinian rights, amid increasing calls for a firm political stance against the Israeli occupation’s practices.
