Hundreds of students protest against Israel’s participation in Winter Olympic Games in Milan

MILAN, Feb. 6 (YPA) -Hundreds of students organized a demonstration in Milan, Italy, to denounce Israel’s participation in the Winter Olympic Games, which the city is hosting from February 6 to 22.

The Milan-Cortina Winter Olympic torch toured the streets heading to the city center, where it encountered popular protests at one point.

They gathered along Francesco Sforza Street and outside the University of Milan campus, holding Palestinian flags and banners as the Olympic torch passed through Francesco Sforza Street.

Demonstrators expressed their rejection of Israel’s participation in the Games due to its genocide in the Gaza Strip.

They chanted slogans such as “Free Palestine” and lit torches as the Olympic flame passed.
