Saudi-backed military units arrive in Aden amid heightened tensions

ADEN, Feb. 06 (YPA) – Units of the Saudi-backed Dera al-Watan forces entered the southern Yemeni city of Aden on Friday via the Al-Alam checkpoint, the city’s eastern gateway, as part of a security deployment plan.

Field sources said the units, including armed vehicles and military personnel, crossed the checkpoint in coordinated arrangements with security forces stationed at the city’s entrances.

They then proceeded to their designated positions under the redeployment plan, which aims to secure key facilities and Aden’s main access points.
