GAZA, Feb. 04 (YPA) – 18 Palestinians were killed, including 14 in Al-Tuffah and Al-Zaytoun neighborhoods of Gaza Strip on Wednesday, Palestinian medical sources reported.
The sources stated that Israeli artillery directly targeted Al-Zaytoun and Al-Tuffah neighborhoods east of Gaza, resulting in the deaths of five Palestinians, including a child, and the transfer of several wounded to hospitals for treatment.
In the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli military vehicles continued to target gatherings of displaced people, in addition to shelling tents in Qizan Rashwan area south of Khan Younis, killing four Palestinians and wounding others, some critically.
These developments on the ground come amidst escalating violations, whereas official statistics indicate that 529 Palestinians have been killed and more than 1,460 others wounded since the last ceasefire agreement in October, reflecting the deteriorating humanitarian and security situation in Gaza Strip.
