Israeli airstrikes, artillery shelling hit southern Lebanese towns

SOUTH LEBANON, Feb. 02 (YPA) – Field tensions escalated on Monday in Southern Lebanon following a series of aerial and artillery attacks launched by Israeli occupation forces targeting residential areas and regions north of the Litani River.

Israeli aircraft targeted a building in the town of Ain Qana. Additional strikes hit Kfar Tibnit, causing significant structural damage to surrounding residential buildings.

A populated neighborhood in the town of Blida was struck by four artillery shells landing between “Jall al-Souq and al-Zawaya,” sparking panic among local residents.

Field sources confirmed that while no casualties have been reported so far, the attacks signify a persistent escalation, raising concerns over the widening scope of targets within residential zones along the southern border.
