BAGDAD, Jan. 27 (YPA) – An Iraqi resistance group known as the True Promise Brigades or “Alwiyat Al-Waad Al-Haq”, on Tuesday issued a military statement No. 8, in which it blamed the United States and its regional allies for ongoing security instability and for depriving peoples of the right to live safely.
In the statement, the group accused Washington of pursuing what it characterized as “terroristic and malicious” policies, and warned that US interests in the region would be considered legitimate targets for its missiles and drones.
It further threatened to disrupt oil flows through the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf and to target US-linked energy resources in the Arabian Peninsula.
The group also claimed that US embassies operate as “command rooms” against Muslim populations, vowing to attack and besiege them.
It said it would seek to impose restrictions on international airlines it described as hostile to Islam, particularly those operating in the Arabian Peninsula.
The statement ended with renewed threats, saying action would be imminent in response to what it described as a “tyrannical US approach” and the stripping away of free people’s will.
