Saudi attacks on Yemen’s borders leave 10 dead, 71 wounded in one month

SAADA, Jan. 26 (YPA) – Security authorities in Yemen’s Saada governorate today released statistics on attacks carried out by the Saudi army in the governorate’s northern border areas during the month of Rajab 1447 AH.

According to the report issued on Sunday, at least 10 civilians were killed and 71 others injured in attacks by the Saudi military on border districts.

The report showed that the violations included 24 Saudi artillery shelling targeting villages and border areas, as well as 57 incidents of direct gunfire by Saudi border guards against civilians.

According to the report, Saudi border guard attacks killed 8 civilians and injured 50, while artillery shelling by Saudi forces claimed 2 lives and injured 21 more.

Governorate officials condemned the attacks as blatant violations of international law and systematic crimes against Saada’s residents, particularly in border areas.
