Israeli occupation continues to breach ceasefire in Lebanon

BEIRUT, Jan. 20 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army persisted with its assaults on Lebanese territories on Tuesday, launching a series of attacks across several southern villages, in a continuous violation of the ceasefire agreement and UN Resolution 1701.

The escalation began in the early hours of dawn when an Israeli infantry force advanced into the center of the border town of Kfarkela, where they reportedly detonated two residential buildings near the municipal office. Parallel to this, another unit carried out a similar demolition, blowing up a house in the town of Markaba in the direction of Rabb Thalathin.

Adding to the ground incursions, the Israeli military utilized aerial assets to maintain pressure on the region. Local sources reported that an Israeli drone targeted the vicinity of a civilian in Meiss El Jabal with a sound bomb this morning, followed by a similar strike near the town of Yarin later at noon.

These maneuvers were accompanied by intensive reconnaissance activity, as Israeli drones were observed flying at medium altitudes over the city of Bint Jbeil, marking a persistent breach of Lebanese airspace and a sustained defiance of the standing cessation of hostilities.
