Hind Rajab moves to prosecute Israeli figure in Canada over Gaza genocide

BRUSSELS, Jan. 17 (YPA) – The Hind Rajab Legal Foundation declared on Saturday its intention to contact Canadian authorities to file a criminal complaint against Israeli actor and comedian Guy Hochman, seeking to prevent his entry into Canada.

In a post on X, the foundation described Hochman as an Israeli public figure who promotes war, incites violence, and glorifies the Israeli military aggression on Gaza. It noted that Hochman is scheduled to appear in Toronto next Sunday.

The foundation said the move came within its broader legal efforts to pursue Israeli soldiers and officials accused of crimes against Palestinian civilians, and to hold them accountable before international and domestic courts in countries whose legal frameworks permit such actions.

Established in February 2024 and Brussels-based headquartered, the Hind Rajab Legal Foundation has emerged as a prominent European human rights organization focusing on initiating international legal proceedings against Israeli political and military figures on charges related to alleged war crimes committed against Palestinians.
