Severe fuel crisis in Aden paralyzes public transportation

ADEN, Jan. 14 (YPA) – The city of Aden is experiencing an acute shortage of domestic gas and vehicle fuel, causing a widespread disruption in public transportation and intensifying the living hardships of its residents.

Local witnesses report that dozens of buses and taxis have been forced off the roads due to the fuel depletion, while long queues have formed at the few remaining operational filling stations facing severe supply shortages.

This logistical paralysis has hindered students and employees from reaching their destinations, amid a significant spike in transportation costs.

This crisis occurs as the city, controlled by Saudi-led coalition, grapples with mounting challenges regarding basic services and diminished purchasing power, further compounding the pressure on citizens under the country’s current economic conditions.
