Saudi Arabia celebrates UAE’s expulsion from Somalia

SANAA, Jan. 13 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia welcomed the Somali government’s decision to terminate its agreements with the United Arab Emirates, describing it as a severe blow to Abu Dhabi.

Saudi journalist Salman Al-Ansari, a close associate of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, wrote on X: “The Somali government has terminated all agreements with the UAE, including port, security, and defense agreements related to Berbera, Bosaso, and Kismayo.”

He added: “Somalia accused UAE of violating of its sovereignty, unity, and constitutional order.”
