One killed in Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon

BEIRUT, Jan. 12 (YPA) – A Lebanese citizen was killed on Sunday as a result of an Israeli drone strike that targeted a vehicle in the city of Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon.

An Israeli drone fired a guided missile into a car in the southern city of Bint Jbeil on Sunday, killing one person, the state news agency NNA reported, citing the Health Ministry’s statement.

Lebanese media reported identified the victim as Mohammad Adel al Saghir, a resident of Bint Jbeil.

An Israeli drone also targeted several buildings in the southern Lebanese town of Kafr Hatta, which the Israeli army had previously threatened to bomb.

According to the Agency, Israeli aircraft attacked the al-Burij area on the outskirts of Jbaa in the Iqlim al-Tuffah region for the third time in less than an hour, counting more than 10 strikes on that area.

Israeli aircraft also launched intensive raids on the outskirts of Jbaa and the al-Rihan heights in Iqlim al-Tuffah in the south.

The Israeli warplanes further struck the outskirts of al-Qatrani in the Jezzine district in southern Lebanon.
