UNRWA: Gaza’s children continue to endure dire conditions

NEW YORK, Jan. 11 (YPA) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) affirmed today that children in the Gaza Strip continue to live in dire conditions amid restrictions imposed by Israeli occupation forces on the entry of humanitarian aid.

In a post on X, the UN agency said that children in Gaza should feel warm, well-nourished, and safe enough to look to their future, stressing their urgent need for humanitarian assistance that remains stalled outside the Gaza Strip due to Israeli-imposed restrictions.

UNRWA added that, like other relief organizations, it continues to operate and stands ready to scale up its assistance, underscoring the necessity of the immediate lifting of all restrictions on humanitarian aid.
