Israeli occupation forces launch wide-scale arrest campaign in West Bank

WEST BANK, Jan. 08 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces launched, on Thursday morning, a wide-scale campaign of raids and arrests in the occupied West Bank, targeting a large number of citizens, including journalists and released prisoners.

Local sources said that the occupation forces arrested a citizen from Rummanah town, west of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank, and arrested a released prisoner after raiding and searching his home.

In addition, the occupation forces stormed Sanur town and raided shops and homes in several neighborhoods, while in Mithlon, they stormed the town, raided a house, arrested a young man inside, and the occupation vehicles were deployed in several areas of the town.

In Tulkarm, the occupation forces arrested the father of a martyr and his son during a raid on the city.

Moreover, the occupation army fired tear gas canisters during a raid on Nablus, arresting journalist Marwan Harzallah after raiding his home during an incursion into the town of Beit Iba.

In Hebron, Israeli occupation forces arrested a Palestinian man after he sustained bruises in an attack by settlers in As-Samu town, and they also arrested a young man after severely beating him during a raid on Al-Arroub refugee camp.
