SHABWA, Jan. 07 (YPA) – Three recruits were killed and seven others wounded on Wednesday when gunmen launched an attack in Ataq city of Shabwa province.
Sources familiar with the matter said that unknown gunmen targeted a military vehicle belonging to the ”32 Giants Brigade” with an explosive device while passing through the city.
This operation came in light of the state of tension and insecurity in the province, coinciding with the arrival of pro-Saudi forces coming from the Al-Abr border crossing to control the camps of pro-Emirati factions.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack, amid a heavy deployment of pro-Saudi Dera al-Watan forces in the city of Ataq, and some headed towards the provinces of Abyan and Aden, south of Yemen.
