SANAA, Jan. 06 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based Specialized Criminal Division upheld on Tuesday death sentences for three accused of collaborating with British intelligence
At the hearing, headed by judge Abdullah al-Najjar, the court issued the death penalty against Ali Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ju’mani, Basim Ali Ali Al-Kharoujah, Ayman Mujahid Qaed Harish, and Salim Abdullah Yahya Habish.
The court also amended Arafat Qassim Abdullah Al-Hashidi’s sentence from death to 15 years in prison, starting from the date of his arrest.
The accused were convicted of “espionage and sabotage of British intelligence officers,” which included providing sensitive information that led to attacks on military, security and civilian sites.
