Meteorology launches severe warnings regarding weather fluctuations

SANAA, Jan. 06 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning in Yemen issued severe warnings, on Tuesday, regarding the urgent weather developments expected in the coming hours.

In its weather bulletin, the center warned citizens in the mountainous highlands, interior plateaus, and deserts of cold and very cold weather, especially the elderly, children, the sick, and those working during the night and early morning hours.

It also warned farmers of the effects of the extreme cold on crops and advised them to take the necessary measures to protect them from frost.

In addition, the center cautioned those traveling to the very cold mountainous areas about the risk of frostbite, and warned fishermen and those venturing out to sea south of the western coast, Bab al-Mandab Strait, and Socotra Archipelago of rough seas and high waves.
