‘Hadramout Tribal Alliance’ backs Al-Alimi’s decisions, demands withdrawal of STC forces

MUKALLA, Dec. 30 (YPA) – The ‘Hadramout Tribal Alliance’ officially announced its full support on Tuesday for the decisions of Presidential Leadership Council’s President, Rashad Al-Alimi.

The alliance reaffirmed its rejection of any armed movements operating outside the framework of state institutions and legal authority.

In its statement, the alliance condemned attacks reportedly carried out by armed groups affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) against civilians, noting that these forces originated from outside Hadramout province.

Consequently, the alliance demanded an immediate and complete withdrawal of all STC-affiliated units from the provinces of Hadramout and Mahra provinces, emphasizing that the state must maintain a monopoly on the use of force.

Furthermore, the tribal alliance warned that any armed presence outside of state institutions poses a severe threat to social cohesion and public safety. It called for resolving political disputes through legal channels to preserve regional stability and prevent the situation from descending into chaos.
